The growth of new life is the growth of everything we perceive as growing. Its the only form the Universe works. God allows plants, beings, and thoughts to grow and manifest alike. If there is a need, a want, God delivers. He is the never ending giver of Light. All he asks, is for you to be his servant, a follower, a believer, that you don’t know all there is to know. By keeping your heart and mind open to this you will receive greater understanding and growth throughout your physical existence. We must grow from the paths laid before us. Predict the future by the past. Create conflict. Break the system. God doesn’t call on the qualified, he qualifies the called. [tweet this]
1. To not do what has always been done is to truly live by the word of God.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Seek first to understand, and always believe what you’ve already been taught [through the Lord]. This means not looking and comparing yourself to the standards others have put in place for you. It means challenging the system and not being satisfied with how things are done. Find better alternatives.
2. Believe in what your research as told you.
Paul’s final instructions “And now I make one more appear, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.” Romans 17:17
So many times I too find myself listening to the wrong resources. Often times I don’t seek mentorship and it is given to me without me wanting it. At times like these I am working to slow down and always consider the source. I ask myself “is the source of this mentorship and expert in his or her field?” Usually after answering that question I’m able to deduct the amount of truth I ought to withhold in their advice.
3. To avoid sin, do what you believe is right.
“But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinner if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning.” Romans 14:23
Practice showing your faith in everything you do. Live out the word in scripture. This is covered more in-depth in another article 4 Actions: How Can I Show My Faith To God?
4. To live without fear, do what you believe is right.
“For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.” Romans 13:3
I relate this to being at a dinner party with highly respected individuals. If you stand tall, make strong eye contact and have a certain positivity and gleam about you, its certain you will create the connections with people you seek. On the contrary, if you succumb to a realization you do not belong among the company of these highly respected individuals you are exactly correct.
5. Where do I go from here? Simply put, seek mentorship.
“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14
“Plans fail for lack of council, but with many advisors, they succeed.” Proverbs 15:22
Seek mentorship from those who are experts in the field already. Do that through books, social media, conferences. Make real connections with people who can help you and always be grateful for the knowledge they’ve shared with you by returning it.
